LOD was honored to take part in the First International Conference of Architecture and Urbanism, organized by IDP in Brasília. Our founders, Ann Chunlan Yan and Yimei Chan, contributed to the panel, “AI, Urban Data and Governance for Smart Cities.”
本次分享结合学术研究与落地实践。我们介绍了 LOD 在数据应用、智慧城市、实体人工智能方面的设计思路，同时分享了针对亚洲地区的社会结构、城市游牧现象、跨代共居、街区社群设计的相关研究成果。
Our sharing brought together both research and practice. We introduced LOD’s approach to data, smart cities, and physical AI, alongside our research into social structures, urban nomadism, cross-generational co-living, and neighborhood-block community design in Asia.
我们以近期完工的世界文化遗产鼓浪屿更新改造项目为例，探讨研究成果如何转化为实体建成作品。该项目致力于将集体社群记忆重新带回日常生活，阐释理解社会与空间历史，如何为有温度的建筑介入提供依据。
We also reflected on how research can be translated into built work through our recently completed adaptive-reuse project on UNESCO-listed Kulangsu Island. The project seeks to bring collective community memories back into everyday life, showing how an understanding of social and spatial histories can inform meaningful architectural interventions.
这是一次宝贵的交流契机，共同探讨城市未来，探索数据、技术与设计如何协同，并且始终扎根社群、文化与日常生活。我们期待延续本次对话，推动跨地域、跨学科的更多交流合作。
It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas on the future of cities, and on how data, technology, and design can work together while remaining grounded in community, culture, and daily life. We look forward to continuing the conversation and building further exchanges across regions and disciplines.
