Project location and surroundings

Shanghai Mofang Hanzhong Road project is located in Hengtong Road, Jing ‘an District, the center of Shanghai. The area has mature business and complete surrounding facilities. The apartment is close to the subway station of Hanzhong Road in Shanghai, serving as the transfer station for Line 1, Line 12 and Line 13, with convenient transportation around. The project is entrusted by Mofang Group to the LOD design team to upgrade the function and transform the space of the public area of the long-term rental apartment in operation.

The Mofang 3.0 Public Area Image Enhance Project proposes two color schemes derived from warm orange and green and gray colors, and uses sensitive colors of millennials to enhance brand recognition.

The avocado | Qingsen Green Series avocado has a quiet early autumn color, which is matched with a gentle light orange color to create a sense of joy in summer orchards.

Social activities are more internal, functional services are more external. The design aim to build new social space of residential apartments into functional and quality multidimensional space.

LOD systematically optimizes the original space, using modular combination of functions to create a movable pattern, and adds functional areas with themes such as playroom and art workshop. In the process of space reconstruction, part of the partition walls and building Windows were removed to adjust and optimize the spatial functional streamline.

Functional Space Planning: Focus on using time-sharing management to enhance the space usage and participation and blur functional boundaries;.In order to combine more lounge and share communication modules in limited area, the whole space is embedded with a series of flexible elements, through the functional wall, the material, pattern and wallpaper. The application of the design enhances the brandingidentification and the consistency of the space atmosphere.

Through the use of modular combination, it creates a mobile pattern to present the design concept as a whole, enhance the comfort and convenience of space, but also to meet the needs of the corresponding population for living, life and leisure.

Based on the customers’experience of brand and the characteristics of the household population, the design puts forward a spatial renovation scheme with the current popular trend of avocado (dark green and light orange) as the color theme.

The sharing mode of Internet: Self-service bar redefines its form and function, opens up with 24-hour supermarket without sales and small exchange area. In order to encourage communication and interaction in public space, MIMI leisure box and Social bar are embedded in the space. Reception bar has been reconstructed into a new form, shifting the focus from waiting for reception to coffee social mode, and being compatible with different themes and activities. The single pattern of rigidity has been broken, replaced by multi-level lighting, perforated aluminium panel, and accent lighting.

Small public spaces need to infiltrate and correlate with each other in terms of spatial functions to form a flexible and rigorous dialogue. The reception and coffee sharing are connected in space while the color lampshades on the ceiling echo each other in space. Spatial functions are interconnected, with a group of movable modular furnitures with multiple combinations can meet the needs to complete road shows, gatherings, small discussions of different modes of transformation, and also skillfully integrate with the spatial movement.

Interior design concept

Shanghai Hanzhong Road project as a renovation project, the original interior exposed beams and columns have been decorated with European marble, and the preservation is relatively intact. On the basis of retaining the original structure and surface material as much as possible, the style of the space is consistent with the other two Mofang projects, so as to improve the brand recognition.

Existing space station of hanzhong road area is lesser, in order to guarantee the space visual openness and comfort, public area front desk to keep only the necessary function, hospitality and leisure, and use of public area back space separated from other independent functional areas. Under the premise that ensure user comfortable moving line, through the fixed module penetration and combination of furniture, furniture and activities of a pluralistic, open interaction space of the variable.
